Thank you for your interest in Flying Feets Farm's herd. I put a great deal of time, planning, and care into every breeding and I am committed to producing healthy, structurally correct dairy goats with the potential to succeed in the show ring, milk pail, and breeding program. My goal is not simply to sell goats, but to place each animal in a home where it can thrive and where its genetics are a good fit for the buyer's goals. By placing a deposit, making payment toward an animal, or taking possession of an animal purchased from Flying Feets Farm, the buyer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to the following Sales & Reservation Policy.

RESERVATIONS / DEPOSITS
Reservations are accepted for planned breedings as availability allows. Breeding plans, due dates, sires, and dams listed on our website are tentative until the breeding has occurred and pregnancy has been confirmed. I reserve the right to change a planned breeding at any time in the best interest of my breeding program. I also reserve the right to retain any kid from any breeding, regardless of previous reservations. Producing the next generation of my own herd is my first priority, and occasionally a kid is born that I feel needs to remain here. A reservation guarantees the buyer a position for an available kid; it does not guarantee that a particular breeding will produce a kid of the requested sex or that a kid will ultimately be offered for sale. Reservations are generally filled in the order they are confirmed. However, I reserve the right to consider the individual animal, the goals of the buyer, and the type of home when placing breeding or show-quality animals.

A $100 non refundable deposit per kid is required to confirm a reservation.
For adult goats or animals already born and offered for sale, a non refundable deposit of 25% of the purchase price or $200, whichever is greater, is required unless otherwise agreed upon. Both deposits and reservations are applied toward the final purchase price. Once a reservation has been filled, deposits are non-refundable if the buyer chooses not to complete the purchase. This includes, but is not limited to, changes in personal circumstances, finances, transportation availability, herd plans, or simply changing one's mind. Please make sure you are prepared to purchase and transport an animal before placing a deposit.
If I am unable to fill your kid reservation because the requested sex is not born, an insufficient number of kids are available, the breeding does not occur as planned, the pregnancy is lost, or I elect to retain or withdraw the available kid from sale, the buyer may choose to:
1. Transfer the deposit to another available animal or breeding.
2. Roll the reservation forward to a future kidding season; or
3. Receive a refund of the deposit.
If I cancel the sale through no fault of the buyer, any money paid toward that animal will be refunded.

COLOR, EYE COLOR & OTHER COSMETIC TRAITS
My breeding decisions are made primarily around health, dairy character, structural correctness, mammary systems, production, longevity, and the goals of my breeding program. I do not guarantee coat color, pattern, moonspots, eye color, wattles, polled status, or other cosmetic traits. A reservation made for a doe or buck kid is considered fulfilled when an appropriate kid of that sex becomes available. Declining an otherwise eligible kid solely because of color, markings, eye color, wattles, or another cosmetic preference will be considered a cancellation by the buyer and the deposit will not be refunded.

NOTIFICATION & FINAL PAYMENT
Once a kid is born, I will contact the buyer using the contact information provided to us. I ask buyers to respond promptly. If I do not receive a response within 48 hours, I reserve the right to offer the animal to the next person waiting. Unless other arrangements have been made in writing, the remaining purchase balance is due within 14 days of accpeting the animal and must be paid in full before the goat leaves my property. Failure to complete payment within the agreed timeframe may result in cancellation of the sale, forfeiture of any and all money paid towards the animal, and the animal being offered to another buyer.

PRICING
Prices are based on the individual animal, pedigree, accomplishments of its relatives, show record, Linear Appraisal/type evaluation, and milk production. Once a specific animal has been offered to a buyer at an agreed purchase price and the buyer has accepted the offer and paid the required deposit, that purchase price will not be increased, this does not include any additional fees such a boarding fees for animals that are not picked up within the agreed upon timeline.

BREEDER RETENTION & RIGHT TO WITHDRAW AN ANIMAL
I reserve the right to retain any kid born in my herd. I also reserve the right to withdraw an animal from sale if I develop a concern about its health, structure, development, reproductive suitability, registration eligibility, or any other issue that I believe makes completing the sale inappropriate. If an animal is withdrawn by me after a deposit has been paid, the buyer may transfer the money to another animal or receive a full refund. I further reserve the right to refuse or discontinue a sale when I believe the proposed placement is not appropriate for the animal.

HERD HEALTH
The health and biosecurity of my herd are extremely important to me. Information regarding current herd health practices and disease-testing results is available to prospective buyers upon request. Kids are managed according to my established herd health and kid-raising protocols. Any vaccinations, disbudding, tattooing, testing, or other procedures performed prior to sale will be disclosed to the buyer. Animals will not knowingly be sold while exhibiting signs of infectious illness. Every effort is made to accurately represent the health of every goat leaving my farm. However, transportation, environmental changes, feed changes, parasites, coccidiosis, and the stress of entering a new herd can affect an animal after it leaves my care and once the goat has left my care there are no health guarantees. I strongly recommend that buyers establish a relationship with a veterinarian experienced with small ruminants and quarantine all new animals according to appropriate biosecurity practices.

HEALTH GUARANTEE
All animals are represented as healthy to the best of my knowledge at the time they leave my farm.
The buyer is encouraged to have the animal examined by a licensed veterinarian within 24 hours of the goat leaving Flying Feets Farm premises. If a veterinarian determines during that 24 hour period that the animal had a serious pre-existing health condition that was present prior to the sale, the buyer must contact me immediately and provide written veterinary documentation. Any remedy will be determined based upon the circumstances and may consist of replacement of the animal, purchase credit, or refund of the original purchase price. Unless specifically agreed otherwise in writing, my liability shall not exceed the amount originally paid to me for the animal. Veterinary bills, transportation expenses, lost income, consequential losses, and other expenses incurred after the animal leaves my possession are the responsibility of the buyer.
GENETICS, SHOWING, PRODUCTION & FUTURE PERFORMANCE
Pedigrees and performance records are valuable tools in making informed breeding decisions; however, genetics do not come with guarantees.
I makes no guarantee regarding an animal's future show record, Linear Appraisal/type evaluation scores, milk production, mature height, mature appearance, udder development, offspring quality, championship status, or other future performance.
Photographs and information regarding parents, relatives, udders, show records, appraisal scores, and production records are provided to assist buyers in evaluating an animal's genetic background and should not be interpreted as a guarantee that the purchased animal will achieve similar results. An animal's development and performance can be influenced by numerous factors, including management, nutrition, disease exposure, parasite control, environment, injury, reproductive history, and other circumstances beyond the my control. Likewise, the purchase of a young breeding animal does not constitute a guarantee of future fertility unless a separate written breeding-soundness guarantee has been provided.

CONGENITAL CONDITIONS, DEFECTS & REPLACEMENT POLICY
While Flying Feets Farm does not guarantee an animal's future show quality, production, or performance, I stand behind the animals I produce and offer a replacement policy for certain confirmed congenital conditions and defects.
Animals diagnosed with any of the following conditions or defects may qualify for a replacement animal of equal value:
-
Freemartinism
-
Hermaphroditism
-
Extra teats or extra teat orifices
-
Incorrect bites (overshot or undershot jaws)
-
Carpal hyperextension
-
Heart Murmur
-
Affected congenital myotonia (confirmed CM/CM through DNA testing performed by the Veterinary Genetics Laboratory (VGL); carriers are not included)
To qualify for a replacement, the buyer must provide a written statement from a licensed veterinarian confirming the presence of the condition or defect. For congenital myotonia, official DNA test results confirming an affected (CM/CM) genotype are required.
I reserve the right to request additional photographs, videos, veterinary records, or other documentation to verify the reported condition or defect before approving a replacement.
Approved claims will be resolved through the offer of a replacement animal of equal value, subject to availability. The replacement guarantee does not include monetary reimbursement or compensation for transportation, veterinary expenses, testing, boarding, feed, or any other costs associated with the originally purchased animal or obtaining the replacement animal. All such expenses are the responsibility of the buyer.
If a buyer identifies a suspected congenital condition or defect not specifically listed above, I encourage them to contact me to discuss the circumstances and possible options. Conditions or defects not expressly covered by this policy will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, and any resolution will be at the discretion of Flying Feets Farm.

REGISTRATION
Animals represented and sold as registered breeding stock will be eligible for registration with the American Dairy Goat Association (ADGA) unless otherwise disclosed before purchase. Signed registration certificates will be provided or processed according to my current registration procedures.
Animals sold strictly as pets, companion animals, or unregistered wethers will be sold without registration papers.
Flying Feets Farm herd name/prefix remains part of the registered name of animals bred by me. I am happy to consider buyer name requests for kids that have not yet been registered; however, final naming approval remains with me so that names meet ADGA requirements and my own herd naming conventions.

COMPANIONSHIP
Goats are herd animals and should not be kept alone. I will not knowingly sell a goat to a home where it will be kept without appropriate caprine companionship. Young bottle-raised kids in particular do best when raised with another similarly aged kid. Buyers who do not already have an appropriate companion may be required to purchase or otherwise obtain one before the sale is completed.
The welfare of the animal will always take priority over completing a sale.

PICKUP & TRANSPORTATION
All transportation costs and arrangements are the responsibility of the buyer. Buyers should make transportation arrangements before committing to a purchase whenever possible, particularly when purchasing an adult animal or when long-distance transportation will be required. For kids and smaller goats air shipping is preferred for long distance transportation and is the responsibility of the buyer to arrange. I am happy to cooperate with reputable livestock transporters and may help coordinate pickup, but any transporter hired by the buyer is acting on behalf of the buyer and not as an agent of Flying Feets Farm. The buyer is responsible for all transportation costs as well as any veterinary examination, health certificate, laboratory testing, interstate paperwork, or other requirements necessary for transportation to the buyer's destination. These expenses must be paid before the animal leaves my farm. Once an animal has been picked up by the buyer or released into the custody of the buyer's transporter, responsibility for the animal passes to the buyer. I cannot guarantee the conduct, sanitation practices, schedule, care, or performance of a third-party transporter.

PICKUP DEADLINES & BOARDING
Animals must be picked up within the timeframe agreed upon at the time of purchase. If additional time is needed, arrangements must be approved in advance. Animals remaining beyond the agreed pickup date may be subject to a $5 per goat daily boarding charge to cover feed, labor, and care. If the buyer fails to communicate with me or fails to arrange pickup within the 24 hours after agreed pick up date, I reserve the right to cancel the sale, retain any and all money paid towards the animal, and offer the animal for sale again.

BIOSECURITY & RETURNS
For the protection of my herd, animals that have left my property cannot be returned to the herd without current disease testing and veterinary inspection. Once a goat has been exposed to another property, livestock, transportation environment, or outside herd, its disease-exposure status is no longer under my control. If circumstances arise in which I agree to take an animal back, acceptance and quarantine arrangements will be entirely at my discretion and should never be assumed. Please contact me if you find yourself unable to keep an animal I bred. I would much rather know about the situation and help find an appropriate solution than have one of our animals placed irresponsibly.

RESALE & RIGHT OF FIRST REFUSAL
I care deeply about the animals carrying the Flying Feets Farm herd name and appreciate knowing where they go throughout their lives. If a registered breeding animal purchased from me is later offered for sale, I ask that the original buyer contact me before publicly offering the animal so that I have the opportunity to discuss purchasing the animal back. For select animals, a formal Right of First Refusal may be included in the individual bill of sale. When applicable, those terms will be stated in writing at the time of purchase. Registration papers should accurately reflect ownership, and animals sold as pets or otherwise removed from a breeding program should not subsequently be represented as breeding stock contrary to the terms under which they were sold.

BUYER RESPONSIBILITY
Purchasing livestock involves an ongoing commitment of time, housing, fencing, nutrition, veterinary care, parasite management, and expense. It is the buyer's responsibility to research goat ownership and make appropriate preparations before purchasing. I am always happy to answer questions about animals I have bred and to share my experience when I can but I can't do your research for you. Unwillingness or incompetency to do your own research regarding basic goat ownership and care may result in mentorship fees. My willingness to provide advice after the sale, however, does not replace veterinary care and does not make me responsible for management decisions or conditions outside my farm.

ACCURACY OF INFORMATION
I make every reasonable effort to provide accurate pedigrees, registration information, photographs, health information, performance records, breeding information, and descriptions. Occasional clerical or website errors can occur. If an error materially affects an animal being purchased, please bring it to my attention so that it can be corrected before the sale is completed.
At Flying Feets Farm my animals will never be represented with any AI generated images.

SEMEN SALES AND SEMEN RIGHT ON SOLD BUCKS
Unless otherwise stated, semen sales are final once payment has been received. The buyer is responsible for all shipping, tank, handling, storage, transfer, and transportation expenses associated with semen purchases. I do not guarantee conception, pregnancy rate, number of offspring, sex of offspring, or characteristics of offspring resulting from purchased semen. Semen should be transferred or collected within 30 days of purchase unless another arrangement has been made. Semen left in my storage beyond the agreed period may be subject to storage fees. Additional collection or contractual rights associated with semen from a buck sold by me, when applicable, will be specified separately in that animal's individual sales agreement.
I reserve the right to obtain up to 30 straws of semen on bucks previously sold by Flying Feets Farm at the cost of collection.

FINAL TERMS
Individual circumstances may occasionally require additional written terms. Any exception or modification to this policy must be agreed upon in writing by both buyer and seller. The individual sales agreement or bill of sale for a particular animal will control if its written terms differ from this general policy. My priority is to produce healthy, high quality dairy goats and place them with people who will value and care for them appropriately. I appreciate your interest in my herd and look forward to working with fellow breeders, exhibitors, dairy enthusiasts, and families who share that commitment.
Thank you for reading!
